Interests

I am primarily interested in SPECT, PET, US, and optical imaging. Radiation epidemiology and radiobiology, Dosimetry of internal emitters are also of interest to me

Projects

I am currently completing a report on radiation dose to nuclear medicine technologists included in a large epidemiology health effects study on exposed X-ray technologists. I am the Vanderbilt PI on a NCRP  sub contract studying health effects in a million man study of military personnel exposed to nuclear radiations. This is pertinent to assessing risks of exposures to low dose, low dose-rate occupational and medical exposures.  A parallel NCI study is underway comparing the accuracy of measured vs. reconstructed doses received by a group of heavily exposed subjects.
