I am interested in using imaging techniques to improve current medical treatments and diagnoses, in particular minimally-invasive treatments using non-ionizing imaging modalities.

My research aims to develop an integrated HIFU-MRI system to treat cancerous tumors in traditionally difficult to treat areas such as breast and pancreatic tissue. My focus is on further developing the MRI tools that can be used to accomplish this, including more precise MR thermometry and tackling issues that arise with obtaining accurate MR images in fatty tissue.
